the hitman
First day out in three weeks,no drillings so back on osr. Bad start ,when building a hide i pulled out some dead bracken and cut my trigger finger,i had no plasters so had to tie some kitchen roll around it. That field came to nothing, but picked up 20 in the afternoon on another field. Plenty pigeons about but still in large flocks. anybody else out?. Foxer
hi yes i was out in the morning, i set up in a cold and muddy, water filled ditch with a camo net over me armed with with a 12 bore baikal. The ditch i was in had a rape field on one side and a freshly drilled bean field on the other (pretty good you would think) i didnt have any 'motorised' decoys just some old shell deeks and a few full bodied ones. The end result was a very cold me and 1 dead pigeon, i only had 2 shots (****** ) o well theres always next time

bullet tooth tony
I took a friend roost shooting that had never been on the pigeons before. We shot 15 and a few crows. Now he has got the bug real bad [pigeon bug] not bird flu
plexer
Was out sat afternoon, decoys out on some where pigeons had been feeding on carrot tops just starting to show. Couldn't hit any of the few that actually came into the decoys but several were coming into ivy trees just down the wood from me so had a wander in there and shot a few coming in ended up with 5 for too many shots.
