CZ550Kevlar
Wondered if anyone has any info on this, i have a cobra merlin and it seems to not work as well in cold weather, is it just me or is this the case, if the cold does affect it and night vision in general in some way i`ll have to keep it warm with some handwarmers. No problems with mine, although I have noticed that it doesn't work well with low batteries so maybe yours are past their best and the cold is reducing them further still. bennyblanco
They can steam up if they go from cold to hot too quickly so I wouldn't use hand warmers, was is misty or drizzly at all? Anything that can reflect the light of the illuminator back really messes with NV and will lower the range significantly.
steve_b_wales
Cold weather depletes any battery quickly. I have'nt used mine in very cold weather though, so can;t really comment any further. Steve.
