Axe
The Air Arms S410 seems to be very fashionable at the moment. You can get a good range of secondhand PCP rifles at the moment. My advice would be to going to your local shop and pick the rifles up. You might just find that the 410 doesnt fit or feel as nice as another. Just because everyone has one doesnt mean they are the best. As far as multi shot is concerned, if its for vermin shooting, yes get a multi shot. SNAKEBITE
The S400 is a single shot and the S410 is a (10 shot) multishot. You can further confuse things by getting a Classic or a Carbine. The difference is the length and the number of shots per fill. If you have a budget of £300 then you will have to go second hand, but don't worry there are plenty to choose from. Best get a combo (with scope) and don't forget the pump to fill it with! Judging by your forum name I am assuming you are a shotgunner! Edited March 28, 2006 by SNAKEBITE

SNAKEBITE
Have a look at one of the air gun magazines. That will give you plenty of glossy adverts to run through. Any questions you have just let us know and someone will let you know.

karl h
you can not convert the ultra in to a multi shot they are going to release a multi shot model for more money the solo is better value you get more than 40 shots per charge and is only about another £20 new with scope and mounts. roblade
quick question, in the 300 quid are you taking the cost of charge gear and scope into account? or are we talking 300 for a bare rifle? 320ish will get you a S410 second hand with a silencer if your lucky or 310ish will get you a new S200 with 10 shot mag (no silencer) 250 will get you the above second hand with a silencer and maybe a scope 50ish should get you a pump. from the sounds of it your best bet is a wanted add on here for a used multishot rifle, there are normaly a good few kicking about on the sales section if you want to wait a while.
