White Rabbit
I'm pretty sure you can use plastic wads at lambton. You certainly could in previous years. It's one of the few shoots i go to where i still can. I heard the head keeper hates shooting with fibre so allows plastic. WR.

You might be right, I have always used fibre there in the past so just assumed it was the same rules as at Whitfield etc. I have just looked at the invite letter and it doesnt state anything about fibre only, Sorry if I have given bump info!! Hope you all have a good day anyway as it is a very enjoyable shoot! Breastman
How did everyone get on then? My team finished on 351/525 but we fell foul of the new 'penalty' birds (4 of them) and we actually shot 395 birds Although we'd prefer the 395 we all thought the penalty birds added even more excitement to the day, and what a day it was! Mark We shot on Saturday and enjoyed the targets but I think the scoring was terrible!!. We started on the partridge and were not told anything about the star burst clays so we shot all 3 of them only to have 30 points deducted We questioned it and were told that we should have been informed prior to shooting and it was just hard luck that we hadn't. I see no point in wasting money on star burst clays which are very costly only to let them fly on without been shot at. They should take a leaf out of Whitfields book where you get bonus points for breaking them. I aint sure how many teams went through over the two days but if each one averaged 3 star bursts on each flush that is a cost of around £21 per team (I believe they are about £1 Each) which is totally wasted and could have gone back in to the Charity fund We ended up on 388 after our 30 points deduction
Breastman
Not being told about the penalties is bad form  We started on the high pheasant (to get it out of the way :yp: ) and then went to the pheasant stand and one of the marshalls was going up and down the line making sure that people knew about the orange birds being penalties. Moriarty
Plastic wads are the order of the day at Lambton. Is anyone entering the Lambton Charity Shoot on the first weekend of June? I can't get enough of shooting at Lambton and this one's made better by the fact that it's limited to a maximum of 50 teams per day.
Breastman
I must admit i love shooting there and was contemplating the shoot in June but at more than double the price for only 25% more clays it put me and the rest of my team off (must be the Scottish blood i've got in me ) Mark

Altogether a more relaxed event; I'm entered and so are all of my friends who shoot.
