JustJon
For what its worth, probably won't make a difference. He's following morals, now law. And I'm not saying I believe trapping is immoral, I used to have the same issue. Intact a lorry driver deliberately ran over a trap after letting the bird out. Could never find out who it was though. Ridiculous, is it possible to move the trap so he won't find it / know where to look ?

rowey
You can get them from the NGO. They have them on their website. I've had several p!ssed about with over the years with birds let out and traps completely smashed or even taken away. With problem areas I tend to use more cover now like patches in taller crops etc. No sign will put off a determined **** though. It really does get on your t!ts mate. wy111
I had 1 last week, Maggie call bird let free. It was the only one in all my Larsens I had not clipped Not only had the bird been released, but the trap kicked upside down. Not as bad as somewhere else last year, where they had smashed it to bits. I am now in contact with the Wildlife Crime Officer in our area about the Tags/attachments for Larsens with my own amendment, to see if ok. I know BASC used to sell them, but seems no more. The Bushware/Scottish 1 is virtually the same(£3 each? When you can print em of on computer and laminated them?), but needs amendment if in England, but sorry to say, the NGO 1 is a bit lacking on info for the dumb-heads. Unfortunately, you can't educate pork and it will still happen, as the majority who do this, are trespassing in the first place and don't give a damn :yp: I've have had horse riders stop and release call birds in the past, unknowingly, that they were breaking the law and wonder why they couldn't fly away. ALWAYS clip your call birds If ok'd by the Wildlife officer, if anyone wants a copy to print out and what to do, let me know
Alycidon
Mate of mine had a trap smashed up beyond repair, 200 yards from a village and close to his farm yard. This was last week. A
paddywack12
We had trouble with some bunny huggers letting out some call birds I chucked 3 dead uns caught from other traps around the trap the call birds were being released from for them to have a look at when they came back. I know its probably not the right thing to do but it made me feel better.
