Catweazle
Lots of minor infections start between the toes, especially if they're damp. Try to keep them dry for a while.
WGD
Young nettles, they're really nippy this time of year. Although puzzling if she's not been near any?

WelshLamb
our collie had some sort of worm/skin parasite inbetween his toes that caused him to chew them til they bled :( Vets gave him some sort of treatment for it (although I cannot remember what it was!) Imperfection
Skin allergies are often a cause of paw chewing-they do it to relieve the stress of itchy skin.Another sign is smelly and dirty ears. Not sure what food you're feeding your dog,but try avoiding anything which contains poultry as this is a common aggrevator.A good food for allergy prone dogs and sold at a good price too is 'Burgess superdog sensitive'.Costs around £21 for 13.5kgs from PAH etc and contains no poultry. fenboy
My cocker has suffered from this since he was a pup,its difficult to diagnose and i think it is possible it just becomes a habit. if the feet look sore between the toes I found that some stuff called hibiscrub diluted and soaked into the feet helps, its what surgeons clean their hands with before ops you can get it from chemists quite cheaply. arwen3513
yes i have used thornit on dogs paws just be carefull on pale carpets though as it is suggested it can stain them thornit shouldn't be put into the ear canal just dusted lightly around it. although called Ear mites and it is the Ear they favour they will go to other parts of the body such as the paws when the dog scratches its ears the dog chews the itch turning the ear mites to jelly and then continue to chew the flesh creating cycle check the web for info on ear mites and on thornit uses jan
