HDAV
Had one stripped and serviced as it stopped working (wouldn't change barrels as all gunged up in the mechanism) cost me £50 i think £50-75 + any parts that you need. If your gun come out of the cabinet on the first day of the season and goes back in on the last then probably a good idea for £50 even just to ensure you don't have a click and no bang on the first drive! If it hasnt been doen for a few seasons worth getting it done to improve longevity and minimise risk of a failure ... Gordon R
I have never had a service. Periodically, I remove the stock, blow out any dirt with a compressed air line, including the firing pin holes and sparingly lubricate the innards, with WD40 or equivalent. poontang
I had mine serviced after the 'fowling season. It was rusty in the action, and the trigger guard and forend release latch was were pretty grubby too. The action was cleaned up and all parts coated with a silicone rust inhibitor. The trigger guard and forend release were re-blued, and a small spring replaced. The bores were cleaned and were absolutely pristine when returned. Well worth doing, and they did a top job. Cost was £
