Ricko
I have a Zabala with a broken stock, the main piece is missing. It was given to me as a project and I just know that I will not get around to doing it. Is it legal to sell, do I have to remove the small piece of wood that remains? Cheers Ricko

JJsDad
Its legal; but your problem is finding someone who wants it ! Stick it up for offers, you never know there may be someone out there with a knackered set of barrels who`s on the look out for just such a piece. Cheers Ricko It's legal to sell it in any condition as long as it's undoubtedly still in proof. Better get some photos though.
HDAV
As long as its in proof should be fine, something just occured to me tho..... thinking min length here. know holts list actions missing stock but never checked if you had to be an RFD to buy one, but you can unscrew a stock quite easily.. The minimum overall length rule of 40" only applies to semis and pumps o/u, sbs, and singles, are free from this rule. The biggest problem I've found with guns missing wood is finding a stock or forend blank that is a close enough match, as a matter of fact it's quite a nightmare. Mike... HDAV
Wasn't sure if it applied to all sect 2 along within barrel of 24" finding wood may be tricky but not impossible
