WGD
Very well presented clips with sound advice, especially about the timescales required to sort a delivery issue! To offer a bit of constructive criticism if I may, bearing in mind these clips will be watched by novices who don't have your experience, I don't necessarily agree with giving novices the advice to have a game of tug of war with a pup, I can see what you are achieving by doing that, you know exactly what you want to achieve in making the dog keen to hold the sock, even being a bit possessive to ensure there is a desire to hold. The gentleness of your approach will succeed and will not lead to any problems. In less understanding hands such advice may not be properly understood. Nice happy dogs, good to see. Look forward to seeing the next two.

Donnie
In proud father mode, watched your videos on Sunday night and then last night spent 10 minutes with my black lab pup (6 months) asking him to hold a pup dummy and sitting. Took 15min but he did it and got his dinner, very happy pup. Then past night he was walking bout with a raw hide bone, asked him to sit a few times and release (dead) did it every time. Then 30 min ago went to the park and along a fence line did 2 blind and 2 memory retrieves and he sat and held the dummy at the end of each! I even threw 2 long retrieves with him off the lead and he did not budge, I went and collected them myself and he did not flinch. I'm gunna enjoy tonight cause I'm sure he won't do the same every night!

RUNCEMOUNT
I just been out in my garden with alfie and by jeepers he is responding very well to video 1 and 2. Will post a video later. Edit. Spent an hour with him from about 5pm tonight and below is the result, atleast he starting to give to my hand now and sitting still when ball being thrown. He coming i think, and hopefully i can keep him by my side when i shooting instead of him running straight off when gun fires, as this has lost me a few rabbits. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TF9PNVIY1a4 Edited June 2, 2011 by RUNCEMOUNT
