maxie
Hi all.I am a complete beginner and was wondering if I could go decoying with just a dozen or so decoys,no flappers, floaters, rotaries etc.It would make it a lot simpler and possibly more enjoyable. What do you think? bakerboy
Hi all.I am a complete beginner and was wondering if I could go decoying with just a dozen or so decoys,no flappers, floaters, rotaries etc.It would make it a lot simpler and possibly more enjoyable. What do you think? Yes no problem. But if as you say you are a complete beginner, make sure the furthest decoy is 40 yards from the hide, this will save you wasting cartrigdes on distance birds, that is of course until you get you eye in. Cosd
Yes you can decoy with just a dozen decoys! If you want to read a very good beginners guide to decoying pigeons, contact Denny Essex. He has written a piece perfect for beginners and is well worth a read.
welshwarrior
12 shell decoys an old bit of cam net a single barrel 12 bore and any cartridges I could find borrow is what I started with much simpler in those days. Seems more complicated now tho!!!!!
