RC45
I am thinking of buying a new scope but don't want to pay inflated UK prices. If you have used Overstock or know of a better service, I would like to hear your experience's. This is what I am after. Thanks for looking. casts_by_fly
I've used overstock before when I was in the US with no problems. However, I don't know if you've gone all the way to checkout on that scope. It is 369 to start. Then they apply VAT, duty, and shipping on the end. I think it is going to be more expensive than most would think. Have you taken it all the way to checkout yet? What was the landed price? That is a good scope, so don't let me put you off it for that. However, if you're interested in a 6-24x50 nikon Monarch then I have one here, ready to ship, and cheaper than what I expect your landed price will be. I took it off for lower magnification and I want to sell it to buy some camera glass. PM me if you're interested. Thanks, Rick
Dekers
I don't know this firm, but I'm interested to know why an 8-32 floats your boat, I do a lot of field and range shooting, generally out to about 600 yards, and anything that starts with an 8 is too big for me. That's one of the reasons I always suggest few, if any, can give scope advice, it's all too personal!
dadioles
I recently bought the Nikon Monarch 8-32 with ED glass and although it is a superb scope I would rather have got the x24 or perhaps 16x For target shooting 32x works very well as you can see the holes but for hunting it is too much (I now know) although it certainly makes head shots on rabbits at 100 yards much easier. The field of view is very restricted at high magnifications so I find myself winding back to 8x quite a lot. The Nicoplex reticle is superb. It looks as though the scope that you are looking at has its focus adjustment at the end. This is a bad idea. Unless you have unusually long arms get one with side focus. If you really want 32x you will be better off with the Nikon Monarch. Don't fool yourself that you will use it for accurate rangefinding - for that use a laser rangefinder. Not everyone shoots in the field exclusively. I shoot 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, 600 and 1000 yard. Hence the reason why I have storage problems at times. I don't get much time for field shooting, maybe when I retire Nightforce do a x42, but the cost is too much for me!! Thanks for the comments. phaedra1106
About £325 new in the US for the same scope but Overstock won't ship it to the UK, if you go to checkout it'll come up with "The product is restricted due to destination country tariff restrictions." Not found Overstock to be particularly cheap for shooting stuff whenever I've looked there.
ColinF
Arcadian Sales usually have good prices and will ship to the UK. I have bought a couple of scopes from them and didn't have any problems.

Mr_Logic
I wouldn't trust a Bushnell's adjustments for f-class personally, though it may work. My 4-16 is OK but has had the er, anomaly! Also their adjustment range is dinky, take it you have a 20MOA base for it?
