how do i use a chrono

i have just bought a chrono to test the power of my Air Arms S410

 

I have bought a combro cb625 so my question is "do i need to remove the moderator from th rifle?

When your gun is UNLOADEd, line up the centre of the holes with the line of the barrel. leaving the mod on fine.

And tape the Chrono on using electrician's tape especially if it is a springer.

I use those elastic hair bobbles, as I seem to be able to find them everywhere around the house, they hold it in place and I can slip it on and off quickly without marking the mod.

Good elastic bands, the sort the postman leaves all the way up and down the street, hold it on well.

It is helpful to use something like a 6" nail or piece of dowel to make sure the hole lines up.

A good piece of kit.

Does not work for rimfire though, just air guns.

Mine didn't move, but on the XS38 it gave a different reading when using laggy bands to taping it on.
