slated
If it fits it a good start £600 for a 101 sounds a little step. Haggle. Good luck

garjo
Agree - been a lot of posts on the 101 - search site to get feedback - lovely guns but need to know pros v cons Nice gun and well regarded, worth taking some one who knows what to look for, "coach" is a big Winnie fan send him a pm
MartB
I had a 101. Nice gun for clays. Found it a bit cumbersome to lug around a field all day though. Should try to get it for a bit less. Mine cost me £650 5 yrs ago. Check for any looseness in the action. See if you can try it out on clays etc first. Good luck
Simon123
Wichester 101's are beautiful guns. A local gunsmith had one for sale the other day for £375, in a good condition with fixed chokes. Lovely guns to use, i say go for it if you like it ;)
Scully
BIG fan of 101's!6oo seems a little steep for a lightweight, but saying that prices of 101's seem to be creeping back up again, and looking on 'gunstar' there are some pricey models,so maybe it's par for the course.Very good guns.Don't worry about the spares issue;Browning/Miroku parts are soon adapted to fit. You can also buy Teague Invector extended chokes for them if its own 'Winchokes' aren't a complete set.
fenboy
Its perhaps a little steep at £600 if you can get it down a bit buy it,if you cant get it down a bit my advice is buy it anyway! The 101 lightweight was without doubt the best gun I have ever used,I brought secondhand and used it for another 20 years until a fault meant it had to go to the big gun shop in the sky They handle superb and I have yet had a gun since which matches it spares can be difficult to get but far from impossible they dont often go wrong ,some browning parts can be modified if needed only thing mine needed in all that time was new firing pins which I imported from america which only took a week.
