First decent rise of water with the rain so headed to the Don with the much older, way way older in fact, brother,Shaun and was at the water for 6.30ish am yesterday.Fine morning with hardly any wind and hoping for a rise of troot but with the water up and coloured they were minimal.Absolutely melting with occasional heavy showers made for a great day on the bank.Worm and spinning mostly, with the fly in action whenever troot were showing taking a fly and we ended the day with 4 sea troot, all in superb nick and the biggest around 4lb,all returned and 12 broonies with 5 kept for 4 1/2lb.Also managed to sneak within 10 yards from an otter and hide in a patch of nettles and watch and pic him for a good half hour.Came away at ten at night and with a bad dose of sunburn but well worth.Shaun also took some cracking pics so as usual will post way too many. Some sequence shots including a broonie taking the Wickhams Fancy.

WARNING,TOO MANY PHOTOS.
