After yesterdays pants day i was not going to bother heading out ,but picked up my old o/u which has been in for work for the last few months so thought would have a bash .Did not get out till 5 due to the noise from the air show scaring everything in the area .

Found the birds on a pea stubble a good 200 lifted ,setup in a half balehide half made hide from nets and the like , put out 18 shell decoys in an l shape and rotary out to the left of the hide in front of the decoys .

The birds all started landing on another field but soon started to come and boy did the decoy well just a shame my shooting was pants .The o/u felt wrong after using an auto for the last few months but i soon got back in to the swing dropping a few doubles and even 2 for 1 shot .Birds came in thick and fast around 7pm but then turned off at 7.30 so packed up .

Good few hours were had even tho it was roasting in the hide  final bag 66 picked 2 lost in tats :good:
