rocksaplenty
I bought a weihrauch hw77 18 years ago, it's sat in my cupboard for the last 10. I am going to start using it again for some pigeon work close to houses (can't use my shotgun). This might be a stupid question: but how do you tell when the spring needs changing or will it definitely need changing after this length of time? Lord Geordie
If it has sat in a cupboard unused the first thing I would be doing is stripping it down cleaning it and reassembly to make sure it's ok. There could be a build up of crud in the cylinder the Piston seals may have deteriorated etc etc Being a HW it should be fine as they were built to last but one can't be too careful :( For the sake of half an hour to an hours work it's worth it.
