Lord Geordie
Well Today saw the return of my Falcon FN19 from Falcon (air arms) Bit peed off as they have damaged it AGAIN in transit :< Bent the trigger bar and damaged the trigger blade (citylink AGAIN) Anyway i have made ammendments till the new parts arrive and got it back together and zero'd in again. Yes i zero AGAIN even though the scope has been on the rifle before. It is imperative you ALWAYS re-zero your scopes once they have been disturbed. Anyway i got all sorted when i heard an all to familiar flap of wings :o My son is a Green fingered little so and so and has seedlings out back and i have Kale out back too as well as Garlic etc growing in the borders. This cheeky little *** lands on the feeder and scatters Wheat and seed all over the floor and starts to eat Then decides to take a flit over my veg and take a dump on my kale :< I picked up the falcon and twisted the Paralax ring and showed 30 yards a perfect range Scanned through the scope at it's legs to look for a ring!!! No ring on there Took aim on it's head and let the crosshair slowly work it's way down the head to the bottom of the neck and gently squeezed the trigger. Thwap!!!!!!!!! Down he went in one flop Shot went straight through the neck and exited the opposite side of the body through the ribcage. Looking at the trajectory it must have went through several major organs before it left through the chest cavity under the wing. It's like a second christening of the Gun on this ferral. I am hoping to get the new parts by Friday as i am away to the Farm where my Bro in law has permission and i want the gun sorted for that Poxy 3 acre field with about 10 pigeons and a rabbit population of less than 3 IF you can see them at all :( Better than a day sat in the house i suppose Maybe i can get a half decent bag to bring home friday night. Here is a few pics Entrance wound first exit wound And one of the bird before it got cold LG Edited April 18, 2006 by Lord Geordie

king ratcatcher
i know what you mean about them ******* and eatting your crops, i have a cherry tree at the bottom of my garden witch i look after, when it gets to the summer the wood pigeons land in the tree and eat most of the cherrys, i have tried putting my owl decoy in the tree but they susses that out within a day, i have tried a few things before shooting them, they all dont work, so i shoot them.
