I would like a 12g cutter and a 20g cutter so that I can use them in various shells. Do any of you guys know the nominal diameter, and what do you guys use to cut your own with? Loads of stuff on Google starting at about £7.50 for the bog standard "belt it with a hammer" type. If all else fails you could try Clay and Game Reloaders who do a more sophisticated one for about £25. Vince Green Posted July 25, 2011 Report Share Posted July 25, 2011 The best way of using a cutter is to put it in a vice with the cutting edge uppermost. Then put your card or cork over it and tap round the circle with a soft mallet. Putting it face down on the card and hitting it with a hammer requires a lot more effort. The Duke Posted July 25, 2011 Report Share Posted July 25, 2011 I just punch mine out on a piece of scrap timber, with a sharp tap of a hammer. i bought a cheap set of punches off ebay and there doing well so far, good for cutting out my overshot cards aswell.
