TaxiDriver
How Big are these bags ? You might be better aiming this at local clay grounds ?

Hmmmm I wonder how many of us on PW have room to have 10 of these bulk bags sat around in order to qualify for 'free collection' Nice Idea, I'm all for recycling but deffo better aimed at the clay grounds I reckon. Out of interest will you be sorting the shells for re-use recycling or simply processing and extracting the metal/plastic
Guest cookoff013
yeah, it`ll be for recycling, oil prices going up, (so we are told) makes plastic recycling more attractive. cant blame them, in reality,i wouldnt care if my shells were from recycled plastics. they`ll end up as patio furniture. therecycler
Dear All, Yes they are the sand / balast bags you talk of! Yes its a 100% free service from me. And if some of you club together to make 10 bags then that would make sense. 100% of the shell will be recycled, the materials split, the metal goes off to a metal dealer and the plastic gets granulated and sent to a plastics reprosessor. therecycler
Just another thought! For those that cannot store the bulk bags, I could supply other smaller bags to you and if you give me the company details that supply you with your clays and cartridges I will talk with them to see if they would store the bulk bags and you take the small bags to them and empty into. Let me know your thoughts. Regards AJ

Billy.
I was always under the impression that the process to remove the plastic from the metal was too expensive... Not knocking your idea, just interested how you'll go about it.
