Cranfield Posted July 27, 2011 Report Share Posted July 27, 2011 The best time to get pigeon shooting is in the Winter and Spring when the birds are hitting the growing/newly planted crops. Thats when to knock on the Farmer's door and ask for permission to keep the birds off a certain field, or crop. I know some people have got permission by dropping letters, or emailing, etc., but in my experience a face in front of the Farmer is the best chance you will have.
