CJ, yes indeed he his. Initially I had only a 2week licence for his grounds. This was extended to 1 month and now has been given to me 'open' with the comments 'your doing a fantastic job and welcome here as much as you want'. :P

In addition he has contacted his neighbours who also have granted me access to thier land. I'm now hoping that the finale will be gaining access to a rather large shoot that adjoins the back end of the estate. They put down 1500 birds last season, how big would that be roughly?

I cant take all the credit though, Sussex Lad has been helping with it too and deserves a well earned mention. :P

Anyway, I am a happy chappy.

1500 birds could be as small as 500 acres or as much as 2000 just depending on stocking rates and amount of wodland on the land. Whichever I'd bet once you have a few blocks it should be some good shooting. But does beg the question why are there that many foxes with a big shoot next door. Usually if you release that many you have to be pretty hot on predator control

I must try and get some photos of the surrounding areas. It is very concentrated with suitable fox food. Lots of lambing going on a small town up the road with many restaurants and neghbours who leave feed for them. I dont know the exact layout of the adjoining shoot but know there are 'legs' that spur off from it. The whole lot is situated right at the foot of the downs too. Woodland is a large percentage of the shoot as I am too beleive.

I don't know who is controlling the game management on the shoot, but it is very much a 'posh' shoot, more money than.... well you know what i mean. Either way, i'm not there to ask questions and pass judgement on the cirumstances, just simply to shoot the fox and other vermin. If I do get on this shoot for the same, Ii'm certainly not going to complain. :P
