Greenhunter
Worst I've ever shot is a whole box of carts for none :o I could have wasted more but I packed up, went home and never shot that gun again! Traded it in and have never looked back. Its ages since I was out but I think I average out at something like 3:1 but it really does vary depending on the situation and the birds. kyska
I generally do about one in three. Some days I'm terrible, others I do quite well! I did a while ago fire a whole belt of cartridges (25) for one bird..... Let's never mention that again! I presume that wasn't the same bird, hopping around your decoys on the floor? rcooke25552
Unfortunately not. 100 shots and only 1 bird which was winged not even cleanly killed. I haven't a clue what happened!

coyotemaster
On decoying birds without much wind I can usually average 1.5/1 bird. On windy days taking all comers pass/decoy I would be pleased with 3/1 bird and have done much worse. Conditions and conditioning matter quite a lot.
