Woodypk Posted July 30, 2011 Report Share Posted July 30, 2011 The other day while sat in my back garden target shooting at 25 yards, Just finished zeroing as I do before I start targeting every time, and as I'm putting a few drops of pellet lube into my tin of .22 H&N Field Target Trophys, I'm appriciating a lovely small Chaffinch in our Cherry tree, the trunk of which, is where my target board backstop is rested up against. Next thing I know, a Maggie swoops the poor little thing off a branch and on the floor directly infront of my target board. Before I even think about it - and here's where i'll get the lecture about letting nature take its course, - I've got my Hawke 3-9X50 HD IR Mil dot perfectly sighted on it's head, just behind the eye. And with a swift THWACK, the Chaffinch flutters its self free and the Maggie goes down in one, without a fuss. The end result, one more beautiful small perching bird to sing its song, and one big bully to no more SQUARK in my yard. Observe if you may... Cheers guys, Tom.
