Feral Pigeons.

I have had one of my farmers asking me to sort out a few feral pigeons that have been cra**ing all through his covered yard. I went up to the farm this morning with my QB78 to see how bad the situation was. I just sat quietly on the middle of the building and took "pot shots" at the birds as they flew in and settled on the steel roof beams. The result was about a dozen and a half in just over an hour. The photo shows some of the ones that fell without landing in the cow muck! The others were shovelled up and chucked in the midden pit!

It is near enough a year since i used the .177 QB78 so it made a welcome change - firing BSA Intercepor Pellets through it certianly did the job!

Good shooting mate :good: When this type of shooting comes about I get very excited lol. What power does the rifle put out if you don't mind me asking?

This particular one from my collection is now de-tuned to put out 10 ft/lbs. I tuned it to that power purposely to deal with these situations where I am shooting inside buildings so that it will drop feral pigeons without going right through and causing any damage to the building structure itself! I have had cases where a 12 ft/lb air rifle has gone through a roosting feral pigeon and the pellet has marked the roof of the building!
