Davy Holt
Hiya, headed out with the triple on Saturday night for another go at a fox that has been seen quite a bit in one of the fields. Unfortunately the rain decided to get a tad heavy so decided to get rather heavy so decided to call it quits at 10pm. Just before i packed the gear away i put the lamp over the other fields and picked a pair of eyes out heading my way, so I got the gun back out and loaded up a 50 grain V-MAX set myself up for the shot and put the lamp on where I thought the fox would be. Bingo 1 pair of eyes looking back at me at about 150 yards out, I put the cross hairs a few inches below the eyes and squeezed off the round which gave a resounding thud as it struck home. The result was a cracking conditioned, very fat, very smelly and very dead Vixen, not bad for a last look On Sunday night I headed up to the club for fun at the PP1 with .38 special underlevers on the 25m range, it's highly adictive, great fun and a brilliant way to spend a wet evening. this was my best 30 shot set, nothing great but i'm getting there

Davy Holt
What your needing davy is a new pal with lots of ground that would mibbies improve your fieldcraft LOL is that an offer Jim after last nights escapades I need to practise a lot more went out for a fox, walked down to my spot just a it was starting to get dark, sat the gun down on the bi pod and set the lamp up. Then turned round to see Mr fox sitting watching me from 80 yards away, by the time I got a round into the empty gun and cycled he was off :( decided to call it at about 11 headed back up to the car and then gave the obligatory last look sweep and surprise surprise there 60 yards to my right was Mr fox. flicked the lamp off and clipped it on to the scope, cycled a round and flicked the lamp back on.. he was still there just about to put the cross hairs on him and the lamp goes out.. I had caught the cable and pulled out the plug .. grr fixes that flicks the lamp back on and no fox..... he wont be so bloody lucky tonight
