I did Terry and you can rest assured it went to a very good home! Brilliant stuff.

PS Oil-boy and I picked kilos and kilos of plums at the weekend and I gather demijohns have already been involved down in the Gower. The plum wine went down very well on the night so I'll try and get a bottle or two to you Terry (and Nick) through the PW courier system.

The Frampton-On-Severn country fair is on 11th Sept too. Local for a few who attended Sunday.

That would be very kind of you both. i really did like the wine. I get the feeling given the opportunity I could drink a lot of it

Daughter in Laws top secret recipe I'm afraid, but you can but it on line via "handlebar" or Humbershomemade.

Sorry Nick

Damn :hmm: I may well have to order some.

I am back now!

I would like a few recipes please.... would that be OK?

And yes, the Samphire was really great :good: shame I missed a photo of that

Let me know which recipes you would like I will do my best to post them up. I'm sorry to say i'm not very good at measuring things though. They will have lots of glugs and splashes of ingredients, but thats the beauty of cooking.

Sorry I haven't replied to all p.m's yet I will make a start tonight.

My kind of cooking too. I think I speak for us all when I say the braised venison shoulder rounds as a priority.

For me, the rabbit liver pate and rabbit terrine too would be good.

After such a meal as we enjoyed, and one of which we said a price could not be aportioned, perhaps we should all agree to submit/collate the recipes, for everything from the bread to the venison and to the various alcoholic treats, contact details for the Cheeses and Chutneys, down load to CD's and sell them to PW members with all the proceeds going to the PW Charity, this could perhaps be co-run in conjuction with the Butchery Night of September the 10th (which I will sadly miss)

Something to think about, and with so much expertise on the forum something we couild put together without too much of a problem, (but do not ask me I am a dinosuar)

:stupid: For sure

Also the Rabbit Kiev

I do like Joe Grundy's Oops Bakerboys idea of selling the CD's for charity but I fear no one will buy them :/

During the night Fisherman Mike ran a "country knowledge" quiz

3 lads were equal top so some tie-break questions came out.... The star chef won the quiz (quite rightly as he was in the kitchen most of the meal rushing around making all this superb food.

So here is FM giving Nick his prize of some nice Opticron binoculars.

I forgot to say....... ..........

Fisherman Mike donated all the money raised to a Meningitis charity :good:

Ive made a start on the recipes you will find them in the appropriate section. I hopethey work for you.

Terry it's a good idea to sell them for the charity but I fear my writings are not good enough to make them sale standard. This may well be something we could get ttogether and do another time though especially if somebody who knew something about cameras and computers could come along too.

I will be speaking to the farmer over thd next couple of weeks about next years meet. I will let you know how I get on

You did look a little confused when I said it.

The big question is are you going to start eating rabbit?

Nick

Well apart from the braised venison, which I'm sorry to say beat all the bunny recipes by a mile, I did really like the bunny on lentils. Honestly, you took the two ingredients that I would shudder to think that I would enjoy and turned them into something really special.

So yes, with that recipe I will be eating more Rabbit in the future. It really was first class and I'm very grateful to you for showing me that it can be enjoyed if cooked in the right way. :good:

Yes we must do that, mid week would be great I could bring the wife and make it a few days away.

No hurry when ever you feel comfortable.

I am already for next year its a pity that it is at least 4 months away, perhaps we could have Christmas get together on your quietest night so that you can relax and enjoy the evening, as the rest of us did at the last meet up.
