New permission

I have owned a 2 1/2 acre field for some years in Sussex it's just about big enough for shooting an air rifle but too small for a shotgun. I was camping with the family last week when the gamekeeper of the adjoining estate turned up for a chat I have never spoken to him before.

I think he thought I was trespassing but soon realised I owned the field. He asked if I shot on the land to which I explained my predicament he then asked if I wanted to shoot the vermin on the estate all 600 acres of it. I thought about it and came to the sensible conclusion and said YES please. He asked me to contact him and he would sort the permission slip out I was so happy I could of kissed him. I had asked to shoot on this land before but was told no it turns out he has only been there a couple of years so I had asked the previous keeper!!

As if that's not enough he then invited me to be a guest on 2 shoots one for ducks and the other for pheasant I thought any moment now I will wake up!!!

So keep trying be yourself and never underestimate yourself!!! :good:
