tracanas1974
Hi all This morning on the way to work I went through a rape stubble with at least about 200 pigeons on the ground. Just can not understand why the owner of the farm does not want shooting there, which I respect of course, but seeing all those pigeons there and not able to do anything. Mightymariner
If they are on a rape stubble, and left alone, there is less chance they are eating another of his standing crops.

That is true, but a lot of my farmers know that every one killed now will not breed or come back for his rape in the winter.
Mightymariner
Down to the farmer....out today, I saw two pigeon squabs on a nest only about four feet off the ground.
jez28
My farmer likes to get them at all stages of the season, especially before they start nesting again! I guess its down to preference...
