Ghostrider1979
Hi guys, I went and zeroed my scope Sunday but went right in the deep end and zeroed at 30 yards. Should I have done this in intervals? I got my shots all in the black but the grouping wasnt top good.

Maybe you could have done with starting a little closer to the target for zeroing but if you were getting all of the shots "on the paper" then no worries. You say that your grouping was not too good - Just out of interest what size of group are you getting mate? With regards to consistency and accuracy, if you are new to shooting then it will most likely come with practice and learning a good technique. Stick with it, practice makes perfect, and don't get disheartened! Good luck mate!
eccles
As Frenchie boy said practice and you'll get there.Nothing wrong with zeroing at 30 yards thats standard for hunting with airrifle i zero at 35yards for 177 Its usually then half inch high mid range
Jega
Yep as as a general rule of thumb for sub 12ft/lbs rifles ,30yds zero for .22 cal and 35yds zero for .177 cal. Have a look through this little article mate it explains it far better then i can Good Luck. http://www.anstonftc.co.uk/hft-scope-setup-guide/ Edited August 24, 2011 by Jega
