fulltimeshooter
don't see why not but! just think about this imagine it is lost in the post/ posted to wrong address so you've lost your airgun but most importantly someone else has it! not a good idea is it.... be wise collect it
sutty
Lloydt87 Just posted one myself to another member. Boxed carefully you should have no trouble, take it to the PO and send it parcel post. It cost me about £13 (depends on weight) + £3 to insure the contents. (upto £500). make sure the address is visable from both sides and put a senders address on it somewere, just in case! Insured, the onus is then on the royal mail to ensure they deliver it to the right person etc. Dont forget to take the scope off and send it seperatly ,to avoid damage. However that said it does make sense to pick it up if you possibly can. Hope this has been helpful. Regards Sutty
Curly87
cheers for the replys, very helpfully. i realise it would be best to go collect it it however as im in surrey and hes all the way up in north wales i cant really get to him. i will get him to insure it as well then Kinda on the same sort off topic, im i right to believe you can carry an airrifle on a train aslong as its covered?? and wat about a carrying knife which i would use for gutting? sorry for all the questions just getting into airgunning, ive always used guns on my SGC and my FAC so never really looked into it that much

COLINSRI
Lloydt87 Just posted one myself to another member. Boxed carefully you should have no trouble, take it to the PO and send it parcel post. Aha, my tx on its way then Sutty. Glad to read its been nicely packaged Nice one. I'll let you know when it arrives. On the thread topic, when you post an air rifle then insure it as 'sporting equipment', the people at the PO don't like handling packaged guns :lol:It makes them nervous. Then again Yorkshire isn't very close at all is it . Haven't done much today at all. Went to the RSPCA Kennels earlier as I am after a new dog (mans best friend and all). I'm really looking forward to getting a TX.......they seem to be legendary. Edited May 1, 2006 by COLINSRI
