Wookie
That's good shooting, well done! I'm actually impressed that you could get a group like that at such a distance, not sure if Pav,Zapp and I managed anything like that when we tried the 300m trial. Mind you, it was quite breezy when we tried (mutter, mutter).
l1ukeRS
i was surprised too, i couldnt see where they were hitting at all, i just assumed they must be somewhere close as i saw no splashes on the dust infront etc, i am going to attempt a 350 yard coke can or clay this weekend if it is calm enough

l1ukeRS
The scope - you zero at 100 yards, and if your scope height is 2" above the centre of the bore and the ammo is 17gr ballistic tip it is supposedly pre calibrated for the drop out to 300 yards you just dial in the range in the turret, it's not bob on but i think it works well enough to get you close did the job on that can as that was first and second shot at it. l1ukeRS
350 yard can didn't go too well, bit windy here today though, Im gonna retry it with some balloons as the camera won't pick up the can with heat haze and the distance
Blacksheep
Good Shooting , just out of interest what were you useing as backing for the target ? could you see what the bullet expansion was like ? I would be interested to see what the round could do to a couple of inches of wood at that range Edited September 11, 2011 by Blacksheep

scotland rifles
not being cheacky but that was good shooting. you may find that with better glass and a little bit more mag you may have done a bit better, i can't as i don't use mt 17 anymore, but thats good shooting when using the BSA scope that i sent a e'mail to BSA asking why o why did they put there name to a bit of poolike that/them, bob.
