shotgun sam
How long do you tumble your brass using crushed walnut media with turbo brite added?
phaedra1106
About 30mins in Walnut with Cabela's case polish added. I de-prime, give them a good wash in hot water with Fairy and Citric Acid, dry, full length resize, quick wash and dry again to get rid of any case lube and then tumble. Vince Green
I switch mine on in the morning before I go out and switch it off when I get home. Got a time switch on it, its in the garage and doesn't bother anybody. I think its reassuring to have something making a noise while we are out. Any undesirables would be put off by hearing it running.
coyotemaster
I don't tumble at all, sure it makes the brass pretty again but it also work hardens the case neck. All the banging around in the tumbler does nothing at all for accuracy and THAT'S what I am chasing in my rifles. Time is better spent beburring flash holes, neck sizing and annealing the necks. The annealing is major to me as it insures similar neck tension with each round and consistency yields accuracy. When cases are new the necks are nice and springy, after 3-4 firings they start getting pretty hard and the bullet is not released as easily.Annealing restores to new condition, just DO NOT ANNEAL THE WEB AREA.
