Why do target shooters all use them? What peg and do I put it on the ground then rest the glove on the peg to stop the rifle wobbling I don't under stand this as I have said I am standin up Well any way thanks for the post you have confused me even more so I hope some one will explain to me who takes the time to read my post fully I thought that's what the forum was for to get advise before you walk into a shop to buy I must be wrong Frank
flyingphil
Target Shootets use them as they hold the rifle for long periods and it makes it more comfortable. People hold the rifle in different ways too, some on the back of their hand, some palm etc. A glove will also remove any movement made by your pulse. Jega
Hi mate as Phil says they reduce an awful lot of involuntary physical movement ,pulse shake (it does happen believe me )general shakes from holding your breath etc .They also provide a really good grippy surface for your gun with out you having to hold the gun too tightly .Really the best way to demonstrate this is to have a go with or without a glove and see if you notice any difference.Any way thats enough of me rattling on heres a link to probably the best supplier of high end target shooting kit around .Good Luck . http://www.intershoot.co.uk/

Dekers
Hey, it's down too you, yes, a lot of target shooters wear them, and serious jackets and slings and glasses and caps etc etc. Does it improve things n the range or in the field....and what sort of gloves should I wear.....is totally personal. In the depths of winter I wear a glove on my left hand, thinsulate camo, and NOTHING on my right because I simply cannot get on with a glove on my right hand. Whatever you want and whatever works for you, and many shooting gloves are daft money as well! Edited September 3, 2011 by Dekers

Harnser
A proper shooting mitten is the way to go . They are padded and made from leather and the single point sling that you should have on your rifle will go across the back of your hand were the mitten is bearing against the hand stop under neath your rifle . This is the most comfertable and most stable way of shooting you rifle in the prone postion . Harnser .
