m3vert
HI-ALL Can anybody tell me WHY i CANT start a new topic in the guns for sale section. Regards Tony I'm new here as well but my guess is that you need to have X amount of posts before being allowed to post in the For Sale area. most forums will ensure you have posted around 50 posts before allowing it, it ensures you dont just join up to try and sell kit. Might be wrong but bet I aint far wrong

You gun listed will appear in the PW Guns for sale section that you are currently looking at, as well as to the wider more public audience of the generic http://www.gunwatch.co.uk/ site. HW682
LOL shows what the hell I know then LOL In one way you weren't that far out. To post in the Other Sales section (which is still part of this forum) you now need to have been a member for a certain length of time. A 50 post limit or similar is a bit of a waste of time on it's own because I remember one member recently who got over 80 posts first day just by saying Hello to everyone in the Welcome section then a few "nice pic" comments in the pictures section. It's probably too complicated, but it might be a good idea if the post count would only go up by a maximum of say 5 a day. You could still post as many times as you want - but the post count doesn't go up. This might stop some new members basically spamming the forum just to get the post count up. Anyway, welcome both new members

TaxiDriver
Youre restricted from being able to post in the for sale topics until you have been a member for a certain amount of time, not by post number. This is to afford the forum members some protection from being scammed by people registering, posting summat for sale, taking the money then disappearing without trace, Something which has happened recently both on PW and other gun/shooting forums. Zapp
The OP has been a member since 2008. He couldnt post in Gun Sales because he had not registered a Gunwatch account.
