RoBBo
i see you've had posts on how to bait rats but where are the best places to actually FIND them ? i know its said they are always within 10ft of you ? but cmon! how often do you actually see 1 ? i see a rat once in a blue moon and considering im not near a sewer it makes it harder. So how will i know if there are rats in the area , and when you place bait there how long does it usually take for them to become attracted to it ? dont know nothing about rats lol so all tips would be great

Thanks HenryD! Oh and this is from a different thread. If you trespass with your airgun you are committing the offence of 'armed trespass' this offence carries a maximum penalty of 3 months in prison and or a £2500 fine. Personally I would never fire on somebody elses land without permission. Its not worth it just for a few rats.

beatingisbest
most people including me use round head pellets, i use Webley Lazadome which are good. Flat head are only any good on close range rats, i wouldnt use them on anything else. RoBBo
so for killing long range round head is the best bet ? which will cause the most damage and has more chance of a kill at 30 yards out of the .22 available pellets im going buying some tommorrow and it would be nice to know what i was looking for
Davej
Flat head always good for papper punching nice clean hole, for hunting round head for me

Go for round head and if you are going to be hunting get good quality pellets! no smk or other ****!
Poacher
Hi just to say that I would be very careful about armed trespass, I know you think that no-one owns the dam but it will only take one passer by to report you....Shooting is a very lawful activity and anyone who breaks it is damaging the reputation for the rest of us... Please be on the right side of the law !!!
