Redditch
All of the Suzuki´s are great little off roaders, whether it´s the Samurai, the Jimny, or the Vitara, or even the old SJ80, you´ll rarely get stuck with one

bazzab
Had pleasure of going in Colin Lads Vit at weekend. Went over all headland in 2wd with ease, so must be amazing in 4wd. Went across it in perfect comfort too. An awesome motor.

Bleeh
I'm taking my Vitara for it's MOT test in 40 minutes. I'll make my mind up about how I feel about them after that.
Bleeh
My M-Reg (1994) Just passed with £50 of work done, nothing anyone couldn't do if they had the tools. Needed a few spots of weld to fix the exhaust back into place, one of the headlamps need replacing, something else but either way it was painless!. I do, admittedly have to replace the back tires, but that's not the cars fault!

Bleeh
Just got two new back tires in 255/60/15 flavor. This was to match the fronts and the ones that have been fitted for blooming ages. (Fatboy tires). It wasn't cheap.
four-wheel-drive
I did see somewhere that it was a bad idea to have different types of tyres on the front and back of a 4x4 in fact they recommended having the same make and type of tyres all round as even different makes can very a bit in size and this would not do your difs much good. It is, once my new tyres arrive both sets will match, they cost £200 for a pair and I was feeling poor when I got the first set. I bloody tell you what though. I took the car for it's MOT and he revved the hell out of the engine while doing the 'sensor up the exhaust bit - holding his foot all the way down on the pedal in neutral for about 5 minuets. We then moved it forwards and there was a spot of oil on the ground, I thought nothing off it. Get it home this morning and the bloody power steering line has ruptured, I took it in to get fixed and he changed it to an MOT fail because he didn't have the parts. Off all the rotten luck.
