Redditch
has anyone tried this is it any good Use it on the inside of army type netting, or as a top cover, or just above your other netting to peek though. That´s about the only uses I can think of for it though
Catweazle
It's very light and can be stuffed into a small bag, so it's good if you are having a mooch about and might need a hide. On the downside, it doesn't hide you very well, and flaps about in the breeze.
M.I.A
I find it to be very effective for pigeon / crow decoying. If the sun us on it then it can be quite see through, but as long as your camo'd up then it's fine
Cranfield
IMO, very light and flimsy, be prepared to tie or clip it to the hide posts in anything above a very slight breeze. Very see through and I wouldn't use it on its own. I glued mine to the top of one of the fishing umbrellas I sometimes use as part of my hide. shoughton
All agreed. Cranfield's summary is spot on, in my view. I have 2 of these nets and have to double up - but in bright sun even that isn't enough. I've just bought a Deben camo screen - looks very good. And at 6m x 1.5m it should be good for a larger hide when shooting with a mate and dogs too. I still like the clearview and stealth nets - they are light and serve well when you're shooting on dull days against dark/solid backgrounds - you get an excellent view out of the front of the hide. But on bright days they don't quite do it. I have used straw, branches and vegetation to achieve more cover - but had enough when trying to do that on Tuesday when the wind was blowing hard! I've bought a good few nets over the last few years and actually think that it's useful to do so as different situations call for different approaches. I think it's just possible that the new Deben net I've just bought may be the best allrounder - but at £50 it wasn't cheap either. Having multiple nets can also be useful for the rare situation when I need a roof on the hide too - I've certainly had a couple of days when it made a big difference. Although I had to but longer hide poles to facilitate that ....... Edited September 16, 2011 by shoughton

I left the dog in the hide and walked out to my decoys to look back. It was obvious to me then why the birds weren't decoying very well and flaring off! Covering the hide in thistle, straw and anything else that came to hand helped enormously - until it blew away in the winds Not a great day! I finished up with 12 birds - but it should have been a 50+ day I think. STeve
M.I.A
I was out on Wednesday and turnouts committed well buy flew off at the last min, I walked out to the decoys and looked back, the sun was behind me and you could clearly make out my chair. I think I will be investing in some traditional netting to throw over it
