flukeyluke
We have for very reluctent sale a patterndale x border terrier bitch,9 weeks old,red and black in colour,we only got her 3 days ago and she is VERY good with other dogs etc she gets on great with our rottie x collie(dog) but unfortunatly our jack x cavillier(bitch) just wont take to her and every time she comes withing a foot of her gets snapped at. She will come with a cage that she loves being in and is clean over night when asleep in it,during the day she does have the odd mistake but goes on the paper 8 times out of 10 which for a puppy of 9 weeks is very good. She responds to lilly well and will follow you everywhere, very intelligent dog,we have already become very attached to her and it will break our hearts to see her go but it is in her best interest. Will sell her for £100 but ONLY to a good caring home, she would make a excellent working dog and companion. SALE ON HOLD!!!! Going to give it a while longer, does anyone know how long to give it? we love this little dog and would only get rid of her if we have no choice. Thanks luke Thanks luke Will try to put pics up asap Edited September 11, 2011 by flukeyluke

bignoel
3 days it isnt enough time for the pup to get to know anyone not alone your other dog. give it time if she keeps snapping at your pup the pup will learn to avoid her till she comes round .your new pup is envadeing the other dogs ground after all . -Mongrel-
No need to sell the pup. The older dog will put the pup in its place in due course or the pup will learn to avoid it. Either way the pecking order will be established and all should be ok.
Muggins.
Wouldn`t mind betting they`ll be playing together in a while. The little one is invading the older ones territory but they will no doubt sort themselves out. When you are showing the pup some effection involve the older one too. Even dogs get jealous. muggins. Cranfield
This is no longer a sale item, so I am moving it to the Dogs and Dog Training section. All the posts above are good advice, 3 days is far too short a time. That looks like a pup worth keeping.

silver pigeon 3
I have a patterdale x jack and a Lurcher, in early May i got a 8 week old lab puppy and the lurcher took to him straight away and all she wanted to do was mother him, but the terrier would not tolerate the puppy at all every time the puppy walked into the same room as him he would growl and show his teeth. The Puppy learnt to stay away and there was never anything more than the odd snap when he pushed his luck. Rosco is now 6 months old and is massive compared to the terrier but by his early aggression the terrier has managed to stay top dog and everything is now fine, wouldn't say they were the best of buddys but they happily live/eat together, and sometimes when they think i am not watching even play together
