Putting them on spring sticks sounds like a good option though, that would improve them a lot but alas I flogged mine on eBay after several outings drawing blank or very few pigeons. At that time though I did not have a flapper so may work better with flapper or rotary in the pattern. Very easy to carry, look good, give it a go and if they do not work for you eBay them away.
