TaxiDriver
You dont say how much youre planning on taking off the stock, But it's likely the butt pad will be oversize, look at how the stock section reduces towards the trigger. As for cutting barrel down, isn't there a danger that you'll lose any choke ?
pigeon mad
Hi I see what your saying the stock will get shorter in width the more I take off I could sand the butt pad to fit as it's made of plastic ! As for barrel I depose it would alter the choke bit I suppose don't want to take alot off though I thing I may aswell by one that fits him :) thanks anyway !!! Zapp
Shortening barrels must be done by a smith/RFD.

decoy1979
Hi, Dare I ask what the gun is, barrel length and age of your son. I know you said you picked it up cheap as, but could it be worth something? It certainly won't be after it's been chopped about! Do you only want to shorten barrel for balance & swing as 4.10s are renowned for being too heavy? If the lad is still growing at a fast rate he'll soon outgrow and mods. welshwarrior
If the gun is not worth much do the stock but use a new pad and keep the off cut it can be reattached. I would leave the barrel alone. If the barrel is huge change guns before using a hack saw
