Fatcatsplat
I've got a 96 Disco 2.5 TDI and am having a lot of bother with the immboliser at the moment on both sets of keys - It will not disarm itself and it's always at the most awkward moments that it happens. Rather than messing about getting it mended, anyone got any idea whether i can have the immobiliser and steering lock removed fairly easily - The motor's not worth much and any car crook worth his salt could bypass them anyway, so think the best solutin would be to lose them. Anyone out there with any experience of this?
AlistairB
I remember reading about this when mine would unlock but not start - seems the immobiliser etc is behind the heating controls and you need to take the whole dash out to get to it. You can put a bypass loop in i think, but there is loads of info on this on the landyzone forum. In the end a new battery sorted mine out.
