mickymiroku
if you cant get one at a car boot sale, try a fishing tackle shop. you should be able to get a telescopic pole 6 metres long for £6. disreguard the top section as it will be too weak, and make a funnel out of a small plastic bottle. regards mick. Mungler
Get your pigeon / magpie decoy, stick it on one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4x-Pigeon-Crow-Shoot...1QQcmdZViewItem Then hang it high up off a branch in a "sitty tree" (a tree where birds normally sit - find an old oak tree on a flight line) and it will act as a decoy and attract other birds to the tree. A lofting pole is what is used to "loft" the decoy into the tree. Works well at this time of the year as decoys in trees (on extended branches) make a good silhouette can be seen by other birds from miles around, whereas stuff on the ground is harder to see from the air (especially if it is next to a OSR field, as OSR is tall now).
