cant hit rabbits 123
Evening chaps, Just wondering, would a gunsmith produce for me a custom barrel, bolt and reciever? I have a few sketches after being bored for an hour or two outlining a .410 shotgun built like a rifle, with 2 shot magazine, bolt action and threaded for a silencer on a full choke barrel. Thanks for any input.
welshwarrior
Try UK Gun Repairs I know they make custom guns and rifles they should be able to help PM Dennis AKA Sage 100 But may be cheaper to modify a 3 shot bolt action to take a full hushpower I think they where Nordica and Webley & Scott made
HDAV
Short answer yes! But you would need deep pockets! Consider the bretton Gaucher G12 its exactly what you describe! Except possibly for the choke. May be possible to have one customised, they are a bit rough but like anything if your pockets are deep enough is possible! #### can certainly do it! pigeon street
BSA sportsman is a 3 shot .410 which will take a 3" magnum. There aren't many around but you may find one.

cant hit rabbits 123
I've looked at dozens of bolt action 410's, but they all seemed to be missing something. Usually what one thing was missing, another had, but I found no perfet combination. The Bretton Goucher G12 looked fantastic, but it was single shot and cylinder bore. The Lee enfield's, although lovely looking, were not able to accommodate a moderator, and the verious other modles were all lacking in one or another points of the ultimate criteria. I was thinking of doing alot of the work (furniture etc) myself in the workshop at work, only needing a gun smith to do the load bearing parts, eg barrel and bolt/bolt housing. It would be very adaptable, threaded for a removable moderator, multi shot, maybe even multi choke. Thanks for the replies chaps, you've all aided this weeks ponderings! Who knows, i might get it made eventually.
Paddy Galore!
the only other B/A 3 shot modded 410 i know of is a norica, still a few about and they're a nice gun, much better than the g12. however, the g12 can be choked, teague will do the work, or even better, uk gun repairs can send it there for you and probaby get you a bit of discount to boot
HDAV
http://www.ukgunroom.com/viewGun.jsp?id=14128 its FAC as detachable mag but could be reproofed on SGC. Depends on what you want to spend really. It may be possible to modify a rifle action and magazine to a shotgun barrel with chokes and moderator but why BA .410? cant hit rabbits 123
It would be a very good rabbit gun. Shooting most shotguns lying down can be rather awkward, and its easier to shoot a bolt action in that position.
