TJ91
Just keep them both at your adress and then when you go to stay away over night take a gun with you. It doesn't have to be in a cabinet every night.

Mick Yes it is. When away from home gun security is your responsibility and installing and using a cabinet at the address at which you are staying would be considered the most secure option. When we have visiting guns staying over night they use the cabinets we have installed specifically for that purpose.

Yes it may be more than one day so a cabinet is a must and as said security is a must i forgot to mention would i have to notify the police for that county ??..im guessing yes. I can see no reason why you would need to advise the police. When "holidaying" with your gun, be it days or weeks there is no requirement to advise the police. The only time one is required to is when changing your permanent address.

When I stay with family on holidays (for uptown 2weeks) I leave my gun in pieces dotted around the house and take the trigger mechanism with me with a trigger lock on it. deershooter
There is no legal need to inform the police unless you intend to keep firearms in a second location. if you just visit on occasions .If you intend to use that location on a regular basis you do need to inform the police and install a cabinet. My mate live in Lincolnshire and works in Hampshire where he has a flat you have to inform the police if you have a second home and need to keep firearms there Lincolnshire then contacted Hampshire who visited and made sure the security arrangements were OK then sent a report back to Lincolnshire all above board and legal Deershooter
