Catamong
I made the 300 mile round trip to Southern Counties today to shoot the English Open Sporting. A very tough shoot, with many fancied names shooting in the low 70's...!! Did any PW members shoot it, if so, what did you think of the course, and how did you get on..?? Cat. Catamong
Stuart, Southern Counties is on my doorstep, compared with where I'm off to next Sunday, Worsley Grange in Manchester, for the North of England Area Championship. A damn good ground, well run and with good targets, so worth the 400 mile plus round trip, (I hope..!!). I fared OK at the English Open, in joint 9th place with an 82, messed up by dropping 8 birds over 2 stands. Yet another day at the office for Richard Faulds, who cruised to a 2 bird margin win with an 87. All in all, a very hard shoot, the hardest I can ever remember, and I've shot every one since about 1982...!! Cat.

Catamong
well at least i can go back to my challengers now then catamong Now't wrong with Victory Challengers, I shot them myself a few years back, not long after Andy Pandy started importing them. A quality shell, broke the clays well, but a bit thumpy on the shoulder, if I remember, mind you, we all shot 32 gram loads in those days, don't know how we did it, no wonder so many old timers now have recoil induced neck and shoulder problems..!!
