M.I.A
Hello, i am woundering if i should pop over to one of my permissions to have a crack at the pigeons I havent been there for a while and the rape was drilled around 2 months ago so i imagine it would be well under way Will they decoy into rape this time of year? Thanks Edited October 7, 2011 by M.I.A
kyska
I'm by no means an expert but I decoy all year round, works most of the time (apart from this year!).
semiautolee
If they are feeding on it dale then there will be no problem! But i can't see them being on the rape yet its a bit early for them to be honest
BenBhoy
best bet is just go over there and take a look. if none about then use it as a recce, have drive around, looking for flightlines, birds in sitty trees. or have a word with farmer, ask if he seen many about. TJ91
When they are feeding on it!
kyska
When they are feeding on it! This quote sound sarcastic, but its not! Go out and recce, set up on fields that they seem to be feeding on before they swarm off to another.
mrpip
Had a walk round yesterday early morning gale force wind, 100 plus pigeons pushed off this years rape never fired a shot & they did not come back, was in the area till dinner. Went back to same farm today same time very few pigeons about, shot 1 flighting over with a full crop of acorns old wheat & rape. If there in the area you should get some to decoy. Good luck
Gav912
When is it a good time to shoot over the rape They usually take more interest in rape as the weather turns colder and food becomes harder for them to find.
