duke hamish
should i release a couple of american black/bronze wild turkeys along with my pheasants?
AlistairB
Strictly speaking i think it's illegal as they are not a native species, but i have heard of similar being done! AB Edited October 10, 2011 by blackla
tiny tim
we had a few in the release pen but regretably they seem to have escaped and now live wild

cockercas
I keep bronze turkeys. They don't really fly. More flap onto the pen roof then on to a branch. If you are after shooting them Look for American high flying turkeys instead

BenBhoy
one thing you'll have to be careful of is blackhead, Histomonas meleagridis. this is a disease which affects turkeys badly and can be passed onto all other birds, though chickens are pretty resistant to it, but i'm not so sure about gamebirds. might be worth checking first.
