JKD
Hi to all you guys in Kent. This isn't a request for a shooting permission, but a one off request which I hope can be fulfilled. Let me explain. I currently shoot near Ashford/Canterbury, controlling rabbits mainly, on paddocks and private [small rural] gardens. Also rabbits and pigeons on a small organic veg farm. One of my landowners is a home help for the terminally ill, and one of her "clients" is an unfortunate chap who has Multiple Sclerosis, and is paralysed from the neck down. His wife is there for him 24/7, but more specialised help is needed to care for him. Now as he is obviously on his way out, he wants to try/do things he's never tried/done, the "bucket list". Physical activities are obviously out, so he has turned to the culinary side of things, and his wife is taking the odd rabbit and pigeon from me, and creating different meals for him, which he loves and is very grateful to me for these. He has now asked the nurse to ask me if I could "get him a squirrel or two" to try. I don't have squirrels on my permissions, and so to my question. Is there any kind person that could take me onto their permission, and allow me to shoot a small number of squirrels [say three at most], obviously for pest control reasons only, not just because they are there. I'd like to do the shooting myself, as I would feel better handing over the spoils that I had personally despatched. I'd like this to be in Kent, to keep the produce "local". I hope someone can help me with this, but if not, at least I tried. Looking forward to any helpful replies, and will gladly be vetted via PM or phone call, or in person if required. Kind regards Chris ps. I shoot with sub 12ft/lbs air only Edited October 10, 2011 by JKD
kyska
You'd have better luck to ask for a couple of recently shot sqizzers rather than asking for permission to shoot on someones land mate. I accept your sentiment, but its a lot of faffing organising such thing.
southeastpete
i'd say yes, but i could never guarantee you there'd be any about. Is deal too far? If not i can ask my parents, if you dont mind sitting and waiting for them, they are massacring my dads walnuts, and we hardly get any hazelnuts now.
