Peathag
Hi Guys - You know the problem with the usual cigar lighter fittings for lamps, overheating, melting, blowing fuses and coming out of the socket when you don't want it too etc. Am thinking of replacing them all with better quality jack plug type fittings - any recommendations? Cheers

bennyblanco
I buy these from maplins and attach to the lamp wiring And then use an old computer monitor lead as the female end as they can be wired up to the 4x4 or lamping battery, they make a really good conection and never heat up like a 12v socket. ben

activeviii
Mono jack plugs like the one Clulite use. all my lamps and adaptors have them now, i even run two in the truck so i dont burn the wiring out on the cigar lighter socket. pavman
I get bullet connectors from Halfords cheap as chips, i hard wire from the truck battery with a heavy duty extention lead from B&Q not expensive, run it under the truck into the hard top then make a male/female on lamp/wire works for me
