paul1966
i wouldn't worry about it too much, i'm sure there are loads of lost racers mixing with ferals. you can either pm me the ring number and i'll notify the owner or report it here- http://www.rpra.org/StrayPigeonReportingGuide/tabid/104/Default.aspx either way i'm sure the owner would appreciate being told. apache beat me to it. poontang
It can happen to the best of us I recently reported one as 'found dead in a field' :yp: Poor little thing had come all the way from Scotland, only to meet his end in a sunny Essex field. welsh1
Spoke to next door but one about this as he has a loft, he said you can fill out forms for the different associations, but he told me not to bother as most wouldn't have wanted a bird back that had gone off with the ferals. Asa Bear
I shot a racing pigeon once which had a mobile phone number stamped on it's wings. I asked an old pro what to do and he said, "ring the bloke & tell him it didn't win!" Seriously though I rang the number & it was discontinued. Couldn't have been that bothered about his bird. cockercas
Just say nothing. Could be a £50,000 bird.
cockercas
Just so you don't feel left out some ferals come into the paten earler. Out of 25 ferals 4 was ringed. All 2011 birds. I just take the ring of and add them to my collection.
